Tresses Lagos was founded in 2015 by Koyinsola Vera-Cruz, in direct response to a need she observed — and felt personally. African hair was in a state of crisis. Women were investing deeply in their hair, yet the standard of care available to them — in technique, in science, in formulation — was not equal to their investment. Clinical expertise of the standard they deserved simply did not exist in a single, considered space.

Tresses was the answer to that.
